In addition to his expertise and his passion for MMA, Friedel is also a great mentor and teacher for students of all ages and skill sets.

Kevin Ausman - Head Judo Instructor

Kevin has been running both children's as well as adult judo programs since 1985. Mr. Ausman also ran a judo club while he served in the Canadian Armed Forces. Kevin successfully ran combat training for the LDSH (RC) units and also run a judo club in downtown Calgary. Mr. Ausman also trained in other arts to have a better understanding of martial arts as a whole but has always preferred Judo over any other arts.

 

Judo programs are the safer martial art and are also an Olympic sport. Mr. Ausman has trained no less than 14 National competitors and his son Matthew Ausman was the 2009 Canadian U17 judo champion and fought his way all the way to the world's judo competitions in Budapest Hungary.

 

Kevin's Credentials:

  • Second Degree Black belt in Judo
  • Green belt in Tae Know Do
  • NCCP/Referee Status: Level 2 NCCP certified
  • How long in Judo: Since 1973
